Andrew V. Cobbe is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Construction Law and is a dual-licensed Florida Certified General Contractor and Certified Roofing Contractor. He represents contractors, owners, developers, and condominium associations in Weston, Broward County, and throughout South Florida. Because he built projects before he practiced law, he approaches every contract and dispute with a builder's understanding of how the work actually gets done.
Before he was a construction lawyer, Andrew was a builder. After graduating from Florida State University, he spent several years in hospitality and nightclub management, then joined a general contracting and development firm in Tallahassee, where he rose to Vice President and Primary Qualifier. From 2003 to 2009, he developed raw land into residential communities, managing site work, permitting, scheduling, and subcontractors from the ground up. He also built multifamily housing, shopping centers, offices, restaurants, and nightclubs, along with public-sector projects.
That hands-on experience led him to law school. Andrew earned his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University and has practiced construction law exclusively since, beginning as an associate at a boutique construction law firm, where he was mentored by attorneys Board Certified in Construction Law, and later becoming a partner at a mid-size construction law firm in Fort Lauderdale. He also served as an Adjunct Professor at Broward College, teaching construction law to students entering the industry.
In 2026, Andrew founded Andrew V. Cobbe, P.A. to bring that same builder's perspective directly to South Florida contractors, owners, and associations.

Andrew is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Construction Law and licensed as both a Florida Certified General Contractor and Certified Roofing Contractor. His practice covers contract drafting and negotiation, payment and contract disputes, construction liens, mediation and ADR, and construction litigation.

Andrew V. Cobbe, P.A. serves contractors, owners, developers, and condominium associations as fractional general counsel, construction counsel, and owner's representative. The goal is practical, project-specific advice that fits each client's situation and keeps the work moving.

Many construction disputes can be resolved without a lawsuit. The firm works to spot problems early, pursue negotiation and mediation where they make sense, and litigate when a case requires it.
